Encapsulation of a copper(II) tetradentate Schiff base complex in zeolite NaY: an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of benzimidazoles

摘要: A copper(II) complex of 2,2′-(((methylenebis(oxy))bis(2,1-phenylene))-bis(azanylylidene))bis(methanylylidene)) diphenol (H2L) was encapsulated in the supercages zeolite NaY by flexible ligand method. The resulting product characterized physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. its corresponding free were used as catalysts for synthesis benzimidazoles. results showed that catalytic activity stability both increased encapsulation. effects amount catalyst, solvent, leaching reusability heterogeneous catalyst investigated.
