Synthesis and characterization of Zn and Co monocarboxy-phthalocyanines and investigation of their photocatalytic efficiency as TiO2 composites

摘要: Abstract In this study, synthesis of a group novel A 3 B-type non-symmetrically tetrasubstituted zinc(II) and cobalt(II) phthalocyanines bearing one carboxy (4-mercaptobenzoic acid/4-hydroxybenzoic acid) three 4- tert -butylphenoxy substituents was achieved by statistical condensation reaction the corresponding two phthalonitriles. These four new have been characterized using elemental analyses, UV–vis, FT-IR, 1 H NMR mass spectroscopic techniques. MPcs were incorporated into TiO 2 semiconductors to prepare -MPc composites as heterogeneous catalysts. The X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared (FTIR) diffuse reflectance analysis. characterization results show that are anchored on surface through CO O bonds anatase structure remains unchanged after sensitization process. optimum loading dyes ( ca . 8.4 μmol/g ) almost independent amount used. used test their photocatalytic activity decomposition 4-chlorophenol under visible light. contrast untreated , all photocatalysts prepared in study highly effective light total photodegradation accomplished.
