Selective Detection of Cysteine at a Mesoporous Silica Film Electrode Functionalized with Ferrocene in the Presence of Glutathione

摘要: Unmodified and ferrocene-functionalised mesoporous silica layers exhibiting vertical nanochannels have been grown by electrochemically assisted self-assembly onto indium-tin oxide (ITO) the resulting film electrodes applied to electrochemical detection of cysteine. When using unmodified electrode ferrocenedimethanol (Fc(MeOH)2) as mediator in solution, both cysteine glutathione can be oxidised Fc(MeOH)2 + generated at surface, following an EC' mechanism, but electron transfer rates were three times faster with than glutathione. This exploited for reagent-free selective over a on ITO electrode, based combination charge kinetic mass transport limitations through oriented nanochannels. has demonstrated here cyclic voltammetry amperometry flow injection analysis mode.
