摘要: Abstract Objective The number of patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis receiving dental implants because edentulism is increasing. Since osseointegration around requires formation and maintenance new bone, knowledge how ovariectomy (OVX) affects turnover mandibular maxillary bone required. In the present study, we investigated effects OVX on alveolar in healed extraction socket rat left incisor. Methods molars incisor side 6-month-old Sprague–Dawley female rats (n = 38) were extracted to heal for 4 months. Animals then ovariectomized killed at time (baseline) (n = 4), 6 weeks (n = 10), months (n = 12) 9 post-OVX. Changes mass assessed using static dynamic histomorphometric parameters. Results Bone was increased by as reflected parameters resorption. changes not statistically significant. Cancellous volume/total volume (%) post-OVX group decreased more than that control group. Conclusions Our results suggest increases incisor, resulting a decrease cancellous time.
