A Search for Small Scale Structures in the Zodiacal Light

摘要: Gegenschein observations from Pioneer 10 were found to have brightness structures with an amplitude of about 10% and a period several ten degrees in elongation. A search is made for such high angular resolution ground-based Mt. Haleakala, Hawaii. new empirical method used correct atmosphere-originated radiation. Background starlight substracted using beyond the asteroid belt. Preliminary analysis ground data also indicates presence small distribution.
