Wettability of quartz in presence of nonionic surfactants and short chain alcohols mixtures.

摘要: Measurements of advancing contact angles for aqueous solution Triton X-100 (TX-100) with methanol, ethanol and propanol mixtures X-165 (TX-165) the same alcohols on quartz surface were carried out. From obtained results it appeared that wettability depends Triton's alcohol concentrations there is a linear dependence between adhesional tension mixtures. This can be described by equations which constants depend somewhat alchohols concentration. The slope all dependencies positive. critical wetting determined from these extrapolating to value equal (for angle zero) assumption whether concentration or was constant. average at constant 27.1 mN/m lower than evaluated (29.5 mN/m). nearly as apolar component covered water monolayer film. positive adhesional-surface curves work adhesion, indicates interaction molecules might stronger active agents molecules. So, excess surfactants quartz-water interface probably negative, possibility adsorb quartz/water film-water higher quartz-water. However, above its aggregation destroy strongly ordered film water.
