摘要: Adsorption isotherms of binary aqueous solutions methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, tert-butanol, and 1-butanol are demonstrated, being calculated by using the Gibbs adsorption equation with experimental data surface tension vapor pressure found in literature. For all alcohol-water mixtures, maximum value isotherm, namely, excess is about that expected for formation a monolayer. Furthermore, composition mixture coincides corresponding to minimum partial molar volume solutes. These results indicate hydrophobic hydration bulk induces alcohols after monolayer formed, itself no longer retained.
