Complex factors and behaviors in the gambling population of Italy.

摘要: Gambling has seen significant growth globally, and particularly in Italy: it rapidly evolved from a simple recreational activity to represent 4% of Italian GDP 2010.A sample 4.494 gamblers was drawn IPSAD-Italia®2007-2008 (Italian Population Survey on Alcohol Drugs) order examine different gambling patterns (assessed using the Canadian Problem Index Short form scale).Separate analysis performed young adults, age 15–24 (n = 1,241; male 56.2%), 25–64 3,253; 53.8%): compared with youth, although they gambled less (35.7% vs. 45.3%), appeared have higher prevalence low risk (6.9% 5.8%) moderate or problem (2.3% 2.2%). Males are more likely be moderate-risk gamblers. Those only primary education (young adults: RRR 5.22; 3.23) than those university education, just like youth who use depressants, but among younger (RRR 3.38).A fundamental issue, “do not disapprove gambling”, seems relate problematic gambling: specific legislation, Abruzzi Decree Law, could influenced perception that may contribute positively provide additional funds government for social good as well add needed jobs. Regardless such potential benefits, is epidemic if this association should confirmed by focused studies, policy makers evaluate ways affect soon possible.
