Thermal behaviour of polyamide-6-based intumescent formulations—a kinetic study

摘要: We have studied the thermal and thermooxidative degradation of polyamide-6 (PA-6), PA-6/ammonium polyphosphate (APP) PA-6/ethylene-vinyl acetate 8% (EVA8)/APP blends shown influence oxygen in mode. The invariant kinetic parameters (IKP) method allows us to model degradation. It shows that APP decreases stability virgin polymer implies a protection mechanism via an ablative process. Moreover, it explains role EVA8 improvement fire behaviour blends; reduction fuel flow rate feeding flame. Modelling also comparison between different intumescent systems order show mechanisms leading intumescence phenomenon.
