摘要: This paper investigates the dynamic response of different metal foam magnetorheological (MR) fluid materials experimentally. Metal MR can be used to manufacture low-cost controllable damping devices without need a seal and provide long service life. The is stored in mainly by capillary force. In action magnetic field, will extracted out from fill up shear gap, then, produce effect. Three types foams with relative permeability, such as Fe, Ni, Cu, are applied store fluid. A set testing systems, including plate-on-plate test rig, electromotor, force sensor, built investigate performance these materials. order describe accurately, three parameters time introduced defined. both gap pore foam, simulated finite element method software. experimental results show that change currents, which provides theoretical basis for further development dampers or actuators.
