摘要: Abstract Nitrogen-rich mesoporous carbons were synthesized using an inexpensive and readily available gelatin biopolymer as a carbon/nitrogen precursor colloidal silica hard template. The resulting materials exhibited large pore volumes of up to 4.38 cm 3 /g, bimodal porosity (pores centered at approximately 24–28 nm) contained high levels bulk surface nitrogen (up 10 wt% 5.8 at.%, respectively). electrochemical properties the evaluated in 6 M KOH 1 M H 2 SO 4 aqueous solutions via cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge cycling impedance spectroscopy. samples capacitances 230 335 F/g alkaline acidic solutions, respectively. capacitance retention solution potential sweep rate (100 mV/s) was lower (75–80%) than that medium (∼94%), suggesting pseudocapacitance contributes less effectively quick operations. influence chemistry on its compatibility with is discussed. It shown if values isoelectric point pH are similar, then excessive self-association precipitation may occur, thereby decreasing carbons.
