Association of Occupation and Breast Cancer Mortality in the State of Vermont, 1989-1993

摘要: Vermont’s breast cancer death rate is among the highest in U.S. This study analyzed association between mortality and occupation Vermont women. Given that a rural state, one initial hypothesis was occupational exposure to pesticides might partly explain high rate. Death certificate data from 1989-1993 were determine relative risk of according occupation. Case-control analysis demonstrated increased for women two broad groups: 1) Executive, Administrator Managers 2) Professionals. Decreased seen group Homemaker. Data indicated Farming, Forestry, Fishing not at dying cancer. The associations do differ significantly those larger studies.
