Adaptive block matching motion estimation algorithm for video coding

摘要: A simple adaptive block matching algorithm is proposed for motion estimation. The method exploits the correlation of spatially neighbouring blocks to determine search origin and adjusts range according different content block. Simulation results show that achieves nearly same MSE performance as full-search but requires ~80% less computation.
