摘要: Abstract : An assessment of the physical and chemical conditions Chesapeake Bay estuarine system indicates: (1) that there are marked natural spatial temporal variations temperature, man has in local areas, had a measurable effect on temperature distribution, but present inputs heated waters from power plants do not pose threat to Bay; (2) large salinity, almost no salinity distribution; (3) man's activities have increased frequency, duration, extent low oxygen zones upper reaches number tributaries; (4) resulted nutrients which produced undesirable tributaries, nutrient levels main body at an acceptable level; (5) is being rapidly filled with sediments, fine-grained sediments deleterious indirect effects ecology (6) distributions heavy metals, suggests probably always been relatively high.
