Risk of Stress/Depression and Functional Impairment in Denmark Immediately Following a COVID-19 Shutdown

摘要: Background This study aimed to investigate the impact of first COVID-19 lockdown (March-April 2020) on risk for stress/depression and functional impairment in a representative sample adult individuals Denmark, whether was heterogeneous across living situation. Methods: Using representative, randomly drawn from complete Danish population interviewed March 2 April 13, 2020 (n=2,836) again July (n=1,526, 54% retention rate), we how imposed announced 11 following onset wave infections affected mental wellbeing. We use World Health Organization Five Well-being Index (WHO-5) Work Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS) capture wellbeing functioning. Results: We find reduced depressive symptoms among adults immediately shutdown, concentrated with children at home. Measures also decline shutdown Impairment intensified entire between July, but remained lower rate July.
