摘要: Background: Disability is a defining feature of chronic conditions, and it an increasingly used measure therapy effectiveness. The Work Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS) simple clear disability. Although the scale widely used, no study has yet investigated its psychometric properties in patients with fatigue syndrome (CFS). Methods: Data from two samples were one multicenter randomized controlled clinical trial treatments for CFS (n =639) other clinic that specializes (n=384). All completed WSAS as well measures. Results: Internal consistency Spearman–Brown split-half coefficient values indicated reliable. who had comorbid diagnoses depression, anxiety or fibromyalgia higher scores. High levels disability associated high number physical symptoms, severe fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep quality fitness, correlation coefficients ranging between 0.41 0.11. Lower scores on modestly better functioning capacity assessed by walking test. Sensitivity to change was evaluated subgroup undergone course cognitive behavioral therapy. significantly decreased after remained stable at followups. Conclusion: reliable valid assessment tool © 2011 Elsevier Inc. rights reserved.
