摘要: We present a model to explain the resonances in photoemission cross section of surface state as function photon energy. The is based on an extension direct-transition for bulk states, and should be applicable with long decay length. Energy broadening final states momentum initial are included consideration. Resonances surface-state expected occur energies corresponding direct transitions from Bloch states. Ag(111) was measured over energy range 36--65 eV, resonance at 54 eV observed. data were compared theoretical results. similar Cu(111), studied previously by Louie et al. (Phys. Rev.
