First records of the oriental prawn Palaemon macrodactylus (Decapoda: Caridea), an alien species in European waters, with a revised key to British Palaemonidae

摘要: This paper details the ¢rst recorded instance of prawn Palaemon macrodactylus in Europe, at Orwell estuary, Suiolk. The species is native to north-east Asia, including Japan and Korea, has previously been introduced other areas outside its natural range. Records abundance caridean species, obtained from routine benthic trawl samples Stour estuaries, provide a summary P. macrodactylus’ habitat preference reduced-salinity waters. Consistent catches records ovigerous females evidence for stability population. A revised key British Palaemonidae also provided.
