摘要: Using a low power, rapid (nsec) pulse-modulated quantum cascade (QC) laser, collective coherent effects in the 5 μm spectrum of nitric oxide have been demonstrated by observation sub-Doppler hyperfine splitting and also Autler-Townes Doppler broadened lines. For nitrous oxide, experiments model calculations that two main occur with (chirped) lasers: free induction decay signals, signals induced passage during laser chirp. In open shell molecule, NO, which both Λ-doubling structure occur, field-induced coupling between levels Λ-doublet components can induce large ac Stark effect. This may be observed as structure, splittings, or line. These represent an extension types behaviour closed molecule using same apparatus, when probed 8 QC laser.
