摘要: Twenty-eight children with lymphadenitis of mycobacterial origin were studied and tested PPD-B (Battey) PPD-S (Standard). Eleven seen in 1963, the others from 1956 to 1962. Unclassified mycobacteria most likely etiological agents 22 children, including 6 proved cultures. Complete excision was curative, but other surgical procedures not. The effect antituberculous drugs could not be defined. Twenty 135 school Cambridge, Massachusetts, a history sensitivity had significantly greater reactions than PPD-S. This number included 23 per cent given chemoprophylaxis because recent tuberculin conversion. Most “Battey reactors” both groups lifelong residents only few having been areas previously described as endemic for unclassified mycobacteria.
