摘要: Abstract Iron poisoning is a well-known problem for fluid catalytic cracking catalysts. Previously, we have used several characterization techniques, including SEM, TEM and EDX, to examine an iron-poisoned catalyst sample from commercial unit. The results clearly showed that Fe, as well some other contaminant metals (such Ni, Mg Ca), Si were enriched on the particle surface (J. Catal. 2018, 361, 126–134). In this contribution, enrichment was further studied with many Ecat samples different refineries. data obtained SEM-EDX measurements of particles under accelerating voltages, coupled Monte Carlo simulations. Surface found correlate Fe content in samples, confirming both contaminants accumulation need be considered better understand iron mechanism design more stable
