摘要: The movement of a virus from one plant host to another presents several special problems. Most plants are sessile and, thus, unless hosts growing close enough each other have direct contact, transmission requires some agent. the surfaces covered with cuticle and cells enclosed in walls made primarily cellulose. Therefore, transmitting agent has be able penetrate these barries enable infection. Plant viruses developed wide range systems that overcome problems involve many types agents or vectors. One major features is specificity between its vector, theme will reiterated throughout this chapter. not only at level vector type, family, genus, species but can often even biotype. As general rule transmitted by type (see below) any others. This indicates there been coevolution involves development specific interactions control ability transmit virus. Transmission also affected host. I deal aspect chapter; for discussion aphids reader referred Harris (39, 40).
