摘要: Addition of urea to an uninduced culture Saccharomyces at 22 C results in appearance allophanate hydrolase activity after a lag 12 min. We have previously demonstrated that both ribonucleic acid (RNA) and protein synthesis are needed for this induction occur. To elucidate the time intervals occupied by known processes involved induction, temperature-sensitive mutants defective messenger RNA transport from nucleus cytoplasm (rna1) initiation (prt1) were employed along with polymerase inhibitor experiments measure cumulative synthetic capacity produce hydrolase. These measurements identify within period which each above is completed. observed synthesis, rna1 gene product function, completed 1 1.5, 4, 9 10 min, respectively.
