摘要: Abstract This study examines the ability of cloud-resolving weather research and forecasting (WRF) model to reproduce convective cells associated with flash-flooding heavy rainfall near Seoul, South Korea, on 12 July 2006. A triply nested WRF highest resolution 3-km horizontal grid spacing was integrated conventional analysis data. The simulated initiation isolated thunderstorms, formation a band, cloud cluster, squall line at nearly right time. corresponding precipitation simulation also reasonably reproduced in its distribution, although amount underestimated. sensitivity experiment that excludes orography over peninsula revealed orographic forcing is responsible for about 20% increase region. It identified addition up-lifting local west mountain range anticyclonic circulation due presence Gaema Heights North Korea contribute confinement activities
