摘要: Despite the many disadvantages associated with use of chlorine for disinfecting drinking water, chlorination is still main method used this purpose worldwide. Low concentrations in water distribution systems increase health risks whereas high are formation disinfection by-products such as trihalomethanes which suspected carcinogens. Due to their negative impacts, occurrence finished has received great attention from researchers and scientists This manuscript critically reviews discusses up date knowledge on chlorinated identifies research gaps. The models trihalomethane decay have been compiled special emphasis impact bromide ion total levels speciation. Furthermore, fate transport supplies groundwater investigated. Finally, management options reduction removal precursors raw alternative disinfectants investigated discussed.
