摘要: This paper aims at comparing the microplane model as a particular representative of class continuous material models with discrete particle which is discontinuous nature. Thereby, constitutive equations both approaches will be based on Voigt’s hypothesis defining strain state individual microplanes well relative displacements. Through an appropriate assumption, stresses and contact forces can determined. In cases, equivalence microscopic macroscopic virtual work yields overall stress relation. An elastic elasto-plastic characterization are derived similarities illustrated.
