摘要: Hope and Self-Esteem are two concepts in positive psychology. Snyder colleagues (1991) grounded the theory that defines suggest a relation to Self-Esteem. is defined as general perception one's goals can be met, while feeling of self-worth. Hope's components are:Pathway Agency. Pathways route generating thoughts desired goals, Agency motivational component Hope. The present study aimed investigate relationship between -and Self-Esteem, possible effects age gender, Swedish context, that, according our knowledge, were not previously studied. population included 136 college students (Mean = 24, SD 5.6 years), close 50:50 gender distribution. Data was collected with help validated, self-rated questionnaires: Snyder´s "Hope Scale" "Rosenberg's (modified). non-parametric statistical methods Spearman Mann-Whitney used for data analysis. Results showed women scored significantly higher than men, adults (over 22 years) young (under 22) Self-esteem affected by but lower adults. Moreover, moderate significant correlation could measured, multiple regression analysis only contributed Women showing men findings line previous studies.
