摘要: This paper surveys the results of various studies on 3-D image coding. Themes are focused efficient compression and display-independent representation images. Most works coding have been concentrated methods tuned for each formats (stereo pairs, multi-view images, volumetric holograms so on). For stereo several techniques concerned with concept disparity compensation developed. concepts epipolar plane (EPI) ways exploiting redundancies between multiple views. These techniques, however, heavily depend limited camera configurations. In order to consider many other configurations types images comprehensively, more general platform is introduced, aiming outgrow framework “image” communication open up a novel field technology, which should be called “spatial” communication. Especially, light ray based method has wide range application, including transmission physical world, as well integration virtual worlds. key words: coding, panoramic holograms, displayindependent representation, rays, spatial
