摘要: Solute carrier family 16 member 1 (SLC16A1) is a crucial transcription factor in modifying cancer progression and metastasis. However, its character defining the clinical prognosis of human gliomas has not been illuminated. In our analysis from PREdiction Clinical Outcomes Genomic Profiles (PRECOG), The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Chinese Glioma (CGGA), we found that SLC16A1 mRNA expression level was significantly increased high-grade contrast to low-grade non-tumor controls (P < 0.05). Kaplan-Meier four independent cohort studies Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) profile, TCGA, CGGA which consistently presented patients with high displayed poor overall survival glioma (P < 0.05 by log-rank test). Based on Search Tool for Retrieval Interacting Genes/Proteins (STRING), protein-protein interaction SLC16A1-regulated oncogenesis showed as potential hub protein. Immunohistochemical staining exhibited protein overexpressed compared samples. All these findings suggest positive correlation WHO pathological grading survival. might be biomarker gliomas.
