摘要: Heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPC) is a novel treatment designed to bring high concentrations of active cytotoxic agents in direct contact with tumor cells that are disseminated within peritoneal fluid or attached the lining surfaces cavity. This often combined radical cytoreductive surgery (tumor debulking) and therefore performed at time association surgery. Heating believed have synergistic effects chemotherapy, although our knowledge this has not been extensively systematically examined human clinical studies. The potential ability administration increase peritoneal-to-plasma drug ratios, area under curve (AUC), thus enhance effectiveness local therapy diminish systemic toxicity, an attractive approach [1]. Hyperthermia can potentiate cytotoxicity variety anticancer agents, including mitomycin C (MMC), doxorubicin, lonidamine, cisplatin [2–4]. For MMC, synergism enhanced hypoxic conditions [5].
