摘要: This article discusses prepositioning as a strategic and operational process addresses shortcomings in current predisaster planning for humanitarian logistics case of seasonal natural disaster. A distinction is made between approaches. Strategic occurs long before the disaster strikes, involves acquisition or expansion assets increasing capacity, establishes contractual agreements protocols collaboration. Operational deals with issues inventory levels, location warehouses, functionality centers operations that take place when imminent has already struck. The examples described illustrate development optimization models solution processes can be used to analyze address similar situations.
