摘要: AIM To analyze immediate postoperative outcomes after pancreaticoduodenectomy regarding metabolic syndrome. METHODS In two academic centers, of patients undergoing from 2002 to 2014 were prospectively recorded. Patients presenting with syndrome [defined as at least three criteria among overweight (BMI ≥ 28 kg/m²), diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension and dyslipidemia] compared without RESULTS Among 270 consecutive patients, 29 (11%) presented univariable analysis, significantly older (69.4 years vs 62.5 years, P = 0.003) more frequently soft pancreas (72% 22%, 0.0001). In-hospital morbidity (83% 71%) mortality (7% 6%) did not differ in the groups so pancreatic fistula rate (45% 30%, 0.079) severity (P 0.257). multivariable texture 0.001), duct diameter 30 kg/m² 0.041) identified independent risk factors pancreaticoduodenectomy, but CONCLUSION spite logical reasoning appropriate methodology, present series suggests that does jeopardize pancreaticoduodenectomy. Therefore, definition seems be inappropriate fatty needs assessed an international consensual histopathological classification.
