摘要: This study was motivated by the existence of two opposing schools thought on managing information technology (IT) in a global context. One proposes that IT context is largely same as domestic The other there difference. results from interviews with 65 project managers, whom 27 had international management experience, reflect reality lies somewhere between extremes. Using Q-methodology techniques, managers rated relative importance 33 items for decisions about distribution applications' hardware, software, and data. Although most important factors influencing an application's decision appear to hold across both contexts, contributes variability, unfamiliarity, complexity cannot be ignored. Compared their counterparts, experience tended more cosmopolitan viewpoints, emphasized local units' responsiveness, were sensitive power issues at headquarters well units, stressed need continuous, uninterrupted 24-hour services, took into greater account legal related governmental regulations.
