摘要: After destruction of the thalamocortical projections one side in 12 adult rats, ipsilateral thalamic ventrobasal nucleus was connected with contralateral somatosensory cortex through an autologous peripheral nerve graft. Three months after implanting procedure, horseradish peroxidase applied to transected nerve. Retrograde labeling cells occurred all examined animals. Evidence newly formed connections provides experimental basis a model suitable for functional evaluations.
