摘要: Condom-distribution programs have striven to make condoms more accessible sexually active individuals, particularly adolescents and populations disproportionately affected by HIV other STIs. Despite such programs, little is known about where condom-using men in the United States acquire their condoms. The purpose of this study was document condom-access trends among a large sample States. Data were collected from 1,832 all 50 U.S. states District Columbia using an Internet-based survey which provided details regarding source that they had used within past 30 days. Men reported acquiring variety sources, including free condom-distribution (56.7%) venues purchased for themselves (75.7%). Bivariate analyses indicated participants who tended be younger, self-identified as not heterosexual, or currently monogamous relationship. Further, results those accessed only did differ condoms, indicating perhaps efforts through public health distribution campaigns are reaching general population than expected. Findings illustrate importance continuing but also suggest benefits facilitating linkages between community's retail increase access growing diversity marketplace.
