摘要: A unit cell for dual-circularly-polarized (CP) re- flectarrays illuminated by a dual-CP primary feed is designed and validated experimentally around 8.5 GHz. It composed of two layers reflecting independently and simultaneously the two incident circular polarizations. The first layer polarization selective surface (CPSS) based on an enhanced version of the original Pierrot’s with multiple wires bent in crank-like shape. second made of dipoles printed grounded substrate; it used to reflect incident right-hand CP (RHCP) wave transmitted through CPSS 2-bit phase resolution. This letter demonstrates that sole association both layers is not sufficient reach expected behavior. An additional optimization step required cancel out uncontrolled reflections and improve isolation between simulated and measured characteristics are good agreement two circular polarizations
