摘要: Adipocytes express two types of amine oxidases: the cell surface semicarbazidesensitive oxidase (SSAO) and mitochondrial monoamine (MAO). In human abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue, it has been reported that SSAO substrates stimulate glucose transport inhibit lipolysis while MAO activity is decreased in obese patients when compared to age-matched controls. However, no information on visceral WAT. To further investigate obesity-induced regulations white tissue (WAT) from different anatomical locations, enzyme activities mRNA abundance have determined biopsies control high-fat fed dogs, an obesity model already described be associated with arterial hypertension hyperinsulinemia. was increased enlarged omental WAT diet-induced but not their mesenteric WAT, another intra-abdominal fat depot. Subcutaneous did exhibit any change activity, as richest MAO-containing tissue: liver. Similarly, modified other aorta. The increase observed likely results expression AOC3 gene since maximal benzylamine oxidation velocity were increased. Finally, plasma dogs. Although differ those found patients, this canine shows a tissue- site-specific regulation peripheral obesity.
