摘要: Abstract Dry powder formulations for nasal vaccine delivery offer versatile advantages compared to liquid formulations, such as increased storage stability and simplified administration. The objective of the present study was development a dry formulation making use antigen-loaded chitosan microparticles. Special emphasis put on characterization which can realistically be used in humans by means sprayer. Microparticles with bovine serum albumin model antigen were produced spray drying showed particle size about 3 μm. In order improve deposition dispersibility, blends low separation tendency prepared. A range sugar alcohols (mannitol, sorbitol, maltitol) evaluated carriers. Among tested carriers, spray-granulated mannitol most adequate profile without simulated inspiration very well dispersible device. conclusion, this illustrates simple effective strategy
