摘要: This study was performed to compare the effects of reamed and unreamed locked intramedullary nailing on blood flow in callus early strength union a fractured sheep tibia model. After creation standardized short spiral fracture by three-point bending with torsion, each stabilized insertion nail. Ten animals were allocated randomly into two groups: one that had reaming prior nail did not. Blood measured real time use laser Doppler flowmetry. Endosteal perfusion determined at site before after insertion. Perfusion three locations (proximal diaphysis, site, distal diaphysis) intervals (2, 6, 12 week follow-up). All killed weeks postoperatively, tibiae tested failure four-point bending. Nailing resulted larger decrease overall endosteal than without (p < 0.015). The presence or absence not affect within callus. greatest 6 follow-up. Bending stiffness same both groups weeks. demonstrated are similar following reaming.
