摘要: ABSTRACT Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) previously has been shown to inhibit the replication of Chlamydia psittaci in epithelial cells by inducing indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase, enzyme that decyclizes tryptophan N-formylkynurenine. The role 2,3-dioxygenase IFN-mediated inhibition C. human macrophages now examined. Peripheral blood monocytes from normal donors were isolated and cultivated 10–14 days allow differentiation macrophages. Cells then treated with either IFN-γ or IFN-β for 48 h before infection sufficient infect approximately 30% cells.
