TEM studies of M(1)Ti2(PO4)3 nasicon-type mild oxidation catalysts in situ observation of mobility and dismutation of M(1) = Cu or Ag

摘要: Abstract Nasicon-type compounds M(1)Ti2(PO4)3 with M(1) = Cu or Ag which have been found to be active and selective in the mild catalytic oxidation of hydrocarbons, are studied by transmission electron microscopy. In situ irradiation hexagonal phase Cu(1)Ti2(PO4)3 leads Cu(0) whiskers anchored on Cu(11)0.5Ti2(PO4)3 belongs monoclinic system. Similar phenomena observed silver lead assume a comparable behaviour for Ag(1)Ti2(PO4)3, i.e. nucleation Ag(0) simultaneously formation non-stoichiometric AgnxTi2(PO4)3 shown retain symmetry original compound. These results connected surface reactivity, redox couple (1) (0) is involved.
