摘要: The present work aims to observe the spatial distribution of metals associated with carbon forms (fraction < 2 mm) in surface sediments two macrotidal estuaries, Sao Marcos Bay and Anil River Estuary, which are located within transition region between Amazonian semi-arid northeast regions. Grain size, metal content (Al, Fe, Mn, Cu, Pb, Cr, Zn, Ni), organic matter, calcium carbonate were determined. size analyses showed predominance sand-sized fraction mm due local hydrodynamic conditions. Estuary exhibited high matter both mangrove outwelling domestic sewage discharge. They also presented as a result abundant remnants gastropod shells. Organic acted primary geochemical carrier for most while secondary carrier. Enrichment factors indicated Mn sediment contamination Zn Estuary. These results suggest that is influenced by harbor activities, mostly ore shipment, whereas enriched these hospital effluents reaching urbanized drainage basin.
