摘要: Objective. This study examined disparities in the prevalence of obesity to determine how future prevention and/or intervention efforts should be developed remedy obesity. Methods. We obtained individual information sociodemographic characteristics, comorbid conditions, and lifestyle behaviors from Boston Area Community Health (BACH) survey for 2002–2005. To account complex BACH sampling design, observations were weighted inversely their probability selection, weights poststratified population U.S. Census 2000. tested all possible two- three-way interaction terms a multivariate logistic regression model. Results. After controlling determinants detail focusing on within single city, associations with consistent previous findings. Notably, three two-way significantly associated obesity: ( 1) race/ethnicity gender, (2) gender other people household, (3) alcohol consumption. Conclusions. Future programs need primarily gender- racially/ethnically specific minimize cost maximize results. Additional considerations are needed take into differences age, presence education level.
