摘要: Abstract Thermal stress can evoke a response and enhance the synthesis of heat shock proteins, while gut barrier dysfunction is considered as an important adverse effect thermal stress. Considering previously described effects galacto-oligosaccharides, nowadays mainly used in infant formulas, we hypothesized that galacto-oligosaccharides may protect intestinal against Human epithelial colorectal adenocarcinoma cells were pre-treated with prior to exposure (40–42 °C) for 24 h. Pre-treatment prevented stress-induced up-regulation proteins reduced heat-induced observed by decrease haem oxygenase-1. Galacto-oligosaccharides partly on monolayer integrity measured transepithelial electrical resistance, paracellular permeability E-cadherin expression. In addition their prebiotic effect, have beneficial potency be attractive dietary application people who are at high risk developing
