摘要: Cyanobacterial preservation is important to ensure availability of pure strains for research without repeating the extensive process isolation and purification. Preservation techniques should be able conserve various wild-type characteristics a strain deter any loss phenotypic characters that were originally present in organism. In study, immobilization four different cyanobacterial calcium alginate beads was studied extensively evaluate merits this technique conserving these over long period time. Since immobilized cultures stored dehydrated conditions dark 3 years, their viability retention assorted interest credit method preservation. Morphological investigations carried out using SEM provided excellent proof favor technique. addition, biochemical analyses showed growth rate, heterocyst frequency, photosynthetic respiratory abilities as well performances enzymes nitrogen metabolism such nitrogenase, glutamine synthetase, nitrate reductase, nitrite reductase. An investigation into molecular fingerprints organisms PCR also presented genetic stability years under conditions.
