摘要: The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising enantiomerically pure R-NSAIDs and the methods of their use for treatment inflammation. Preferably, R-NSAID used is R-flurbiprofen which administered in a dose at least 2.5 milligrams per kilogram body weight day. anti-inflammatory action due ability interfere with biosynthesis COX-2 by inhibiting mRNA synthesis, rather than just blocking enzyme itself. In order effect inhibition must be relatively high doses. Because selective its action, that it does not inhibit either COX-1 synthesis or itself, can required doses because tissue protective effects prostaglandins made through pathway are interfered with.
