摘要: Background The association between the development of heart failure (HF) and use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is not well established. Hypothesis Use NSAIDs may increase risk incident HF. Methods We conducted a systematic review meta-analysis observational studies that reported odds ratio, relative risk, hazard or standardized incidence ratio comparing HF in NSAID users vs nonusers. Pooled ratios (RR) 95% confidence intervals (CI) for all both subclasses (conventional highly selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors [COXIBs]) were calculated using random-effect, generic inverse variance method. Results Seven with 7 543 805 participants identified included our data analysis. Use was associated significantly higher developing HF, pooled RR 1.17 (95% CI: 1.01-1.36). Subgroup analysis showed elevated among conventional (RR: 1.35, 1.15-1.57) but COXIBs 1.03, 0.92-1.16). Conclusions A observed NSAIDs.
