摘要: BACKGROUND: Delusional disorder (DD) and obsessive-compulsive (OCD) have been investigated in previous studies using probabilistic reasoning paradigms abnormalities each group reported. No study to date has compared results between these groups. This compares patients with disorders those who both phenomena. METHODS: Thirty subjects DD, 29 OCD 16 obsessive delusional features were 30 normal controls a of two different computer-based tasks involving Bayesian paradigm. RESULTS: Deluded showed 'jump conclusions' style, but on test that added consequence their choices did not differ from normals. deviated control norms greater degree than DD subjects. In mixed psychopathology, the presence phenomena appeared 'normalize' probability estimates. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings extend others require cautious interpretation as role genesis delusions or obsessions. Obsessionals Mixed groups, substantial deviation norms, suggesting obsessionality leads style is less 'normal' delusionals. Further work required investigate clinical correlates which provide modest support for proposal combination obsessions confers functional advantages simply having
