摘要: The purpose of this study was to evaluate retrospectively, after a period 6-48 months follow-up prosthetic loading, the survival rate 103 zygomatic implants inserted in 55 totally edentulous severely resorbed upper jaws. Fifty-five consecutive patients, 41 females and 14 males, with severe maxillary bone resorption were rehabilitated by means fixed prosthesis supported either 1 or 2 implants, 2-6 implants. This retrospective calculated success rates at both implant levels. Out prostheses, 52 screwed on top while 3 modified due loss standard additional transformed semimovable prosthesis. Although osseointegration region is difficult evaluate, no considered fibrously encapsulated they are still function. confirms that zygoma can offer predictable anchorage support function for maxillae.
