摘要: Flexible electric heating and heat storage is investigated in terms of managing wind power on an islanded power-system. A case study developed consisting of: system with operational constraints; firm non-firm connected generation; district network storage. Simulations proceed by balancing half-hourly electrical supply demand over 1 year to determine generation energy yield. Investigation dispatch rules demonstrates the importance flexibility, particularly heat-store. Heat store capacity small tanks are shown significantly increase production, however marginal output drops quickly increasing size. Heat-storage also allow successful management periods low demand, which can cause difficulties for networks. Finally a comparison made that uses boilers as secondary supply. Archival value found presentation methods analysis combined networks together results. Clear conclusions drawn economic worth options facilitation greater renewable provision.
